St. Florian - Flag

Firefighters aren't perfect.  We aren't saints.  We make mistakes.  We stumble and fall, but at our best we always try--and we always reach for hope.  St. Florian is the patron saint of firefighters.  He refused to persecute Christians and was sentenced to death by fire where he said, "Light the fire and I will rise to heaven on the flames." 

Hook & Irons has wrestled with the idea of a St. Florian design for many years.  We've tried and scrapped a few of them maybe because the imagery is so powerful.  We aren't saints.  We aren't martyrs, but we try to live in the image off all those saints who have come before.  St. Florian, fly high, watch over us. . .
