Our Story
The idea for Hook & Irons was born late one night on the back porch of my firehouse. Over coffee, we found ourselves talking about the fire service—the traditions, the history, and the job we love. I kept saying, “Wouldn’t it be great if someone or if someone did that…” until I realized that someone might as well be me.
That night planted the seed: I would do my part to celebrate the history and traditions of the fire service by creating pieces that reflect the pride, beauty, and grit of our job—items I’d be proud to wear and own.
Since launching in 2012, Hook & Irons has taken me across the country and introduced me to countless friends in the fire service and beyond. In 2025, we partnered with Spencer and Courtney from Axe & Awl Leatherworks, whose business savvy and fresh ideas are helping us grow without losing sight of our mission: shining a spotlight on the American Fire Service and everything that makes it the best damn job in the world.
This isn’t just apparel—it’s the rebirth of fire service style, built to honor our past and guide us forward.
