The Original New Yorker - Navy Tee
$29.00
Sometime between 1820-1832 H.T. Gratacap, a luggage maker and volunteer firefighter in NYC invented the modern leather fire helmet. He named his eight comb helmet 'The New Yorker' and its design while slightly refined has remained largely unchanged.
The shirt design incorporates many aspects of the Gratacap 'New Yorker' including the flower stamp around the brim and the Gratacap makers mark. The 'New Yorker' fire helmet and its timeless design represents the American Fire Service more than any other image. We hope enjoy the latest shirt that honors our history.
